Dogs give us endless comfort, love and entertainment – so it’s high time for us to do the same!
Say hello to DOGTV, a streaming service designed especially for our furry friends as a means of keeping them company and reducing separation anxiety while their owners are gone.
DOGTV will feature various kinds of programmes for dogs too, just like Netflix! ‘Stimulation’ shows featuring other dogs are designed to keep them occupied, while ‘Exposure’ shows aim to get them used to things like car rides.
All of these have been curated based on the findings of over 60 scientific studies. Professor Nicholas Dodman, the chief scientist behind the service, stated: ‘DOGTV is an excellent resource for dog owners to help alleviate some of the behavioural problems that can arise when dogs are left alone.’
In the meantime, the official DOGTV website states, ‘DOGTV is a 24/7 channel with programmes scientifically developed to provide the right company for dogs when left alone. Through years of research by some of the world’s top pet experts, special content was created to meet specific attributes of a dog’s sense of vision and hearing and supports their natural behaviour patterns.’
DOGTV will make its release in the UK on November 8 on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google Play Store, and Apple’s App Store. You can also subscribe online at DOGTV.com!
