Following last month’s National open call, The Malta Academy Selection Committee is thrilled to announce that the film selected as Malta’s submission for the 94th edition of the Oscars under the section ‘International Feature Film’ is Luzzu!

Written and directed by Alex Camilleri, Luzzu tells the fictional story of Jesmark, a struggling fisherman, who must turn his back on generations of tradition and risk everything by entering the world of black-market fishing to provide for his wife and new-born baby.
