A company in the US is ready to pay a lucky employee $1,300 just to watch 13 horror movies in October.
FinanceBuzz, a US-based company, is planning to pay people to watch 13 horror movies in the month of October for research purposes. This research is being conducted to determine whether the budget of horror movies actually impacts the viewing experience of the audience.
The company will use a Fitbit to track and monitor the heartbeat of the person, which will help in concluding its readings. As per the official statement, FinanceBuzz shared: ‘In honor of the upcoming spooky season, we at FinanceBuzz are dying to know whether or not high-budget horror movies deliver stronger scares than low-budget ones.’.
‘You’ll help us discover whether or not a movie’s budget impacts just how dread-inducing it can be by wearing a Fitbit to monitor your heart rate while you work your way through the list of 13 movies.’, it added.
While the eligibility is pretty straightforward, candidates need to be US citizens. So, unless you’ve got dual citizenship, you’re out of luck – but imagine if we had these types of experiments “for research purposes” in Malta!
I mean, think about the movies you’ll get paid to see! FinanceBuzz will be conducting its experiment by showing Saw, Amityville Horror, A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part 2, Candyman, Insidious, The Blair Witch Project, Sinister, Get Out, The Purge, Halloween (2018), Paranormal Activity, and Annabelle.
If only we could have jobs like these!
