IN PICTURES: MUMN Head Presents Nurses and Midwives Tunic to The Pope

Paul Pace, the head of the Malta Union of Midwives of Nurses (MUMN) Presented a tunic of the Maltese Nurses and Midwives to His Holiness Pope Francis in Rome.

On Social Media Mr Pace said that this was done to commemorate the Year of the Nurses and Midwives – 2020, which could not have been a more fitting year, seeing as how the medical industry was, and still is on the frontline of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

 

The tunic which was signed by various nurses and midwives and was presented to His Holiness, who in return, in a touching gesture, Pope Francis presented Mr Pace with a Zucchetto, the cap worn by the head of the Catholic Church, in return.
