The Malta Police Force has issued a statement with reference to a series of photos that appeared on social media after this week’s storm, showing a considerable amount of number plates which were found in Malta’s roads.
In the Statement, the Police said that whoever loses a number plate has to file in a report at the nearest police station.
This is needed so that the original owner would be informed when the plate is found or when a replacement would be issued by Transport Malta.
Moreover, whoever finds a number plate has to take it to the nearest police station where the Police officials will make proper contact with the plate’s rightful owner.
