Police are believed to have rounded up a number of people who are helping them in their investigations following the arrest of businessman Yorgen Fenech on Wednesday.
Fenech was given police bail on Thursday evening after hours of interrogation, which resumed on Friday morning.
The police are understood to be questioning other people, sources said.
The police are also still holding a “middleman” who has been offered a recommendation by the Prime Minister for a presidential pardon on condition that information he gives in relation to the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia is corroborated in court.
The police are keeping close watch on the yacht on which Fenech was caught on Wednesday morning, believing that any items on board could shed more light in their investigations.
