Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s latest 89.7 Bay hit is heading for number one in the UK charts.
The pair’s new collaboration ‘I Don’t Care’ leads the field after racking up a whopping 4.7 million streams last weekend.
The song has also achieved more digital downloads than the rest of the top five combined.
Should ‘I Don’t Care’ keep up its momentum, the song will become Ed’s sixth UK number one and Justin’s seventh chart topper.
Between them, the chart titans have already made 37 top 10 appearances, with 77 top 40 hits in total.
The new single set a Spotify record as the most for one day, and the biggest debut-day sum for any track – nearly 11 million hits worldwide.
The lyric video of ‘I Don’t Care’ stands at nearly 27 million hits on YouTube, the trailer at nearly three million and official audio at six million
Both Ed and Justin have collaborated before, on ‘Love Yourself’ and ‘Cold Water’, as well as separately working with other stars such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Drake.
