It started out just five years ago.
But now one of Malta’s most pumping music events has been ranked among the world’s must-see festivals in 2019.
The Lost & Found Festival will celebrate its fifth anniversary in May, headed by BBC Radio One’s Annie Mac and featuring four days, four nights, eight stages and more than 60 artists.
Taking place on the May Bank Holiday, the event kick-starts the summer festival season in the Maltese sunshine and attracts thousands of British tourists to Malta.
The Telegraph ranked the Maltese festival in its guide to the top ten festivals of 2019 – alongside huge events such as Coachella in California, Way Out West in Sweden and Primavera in Barcelona.
The newspaper wrote: ‘Staged in scenic locations and curated by Radio One DJ Annie Mac, this small but diverse dance music festival in Malta is now a firm favourite with Brits and is celebrating its fifth year across the May Day bank holiday.
‘The early line-up includes Skream, Chase & Status and more.
‘The main stages are compact and easy to navigate, while parties are planned on the beach, in boats, in castles and at the seafront Café del Mar Malta in time for sunset.’
