A brand new album from Avicii has been given the green light just one month after his death.

The Swedish DJ – real name Tim Bergling – was found dead in April, with his family later confirming that he had committed suicide.

According to reports, he had finished nearly 200 songs in the months before his death.

The producer’s family have been in talks with label bosses to release some of the tracks he’d been working on.

Swedish entertainment magazine Aftonbladet reported that Avicii had a ‘vast amount’ of unpublished music.

In a statement released shortly after his death, the DJ’s family said: ‘Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions.

‘When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most – music.
‘He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace.’
