Second time an Airbus A380 lands in Malta
Wednesday was a red letter day for aviation enthusiasts in Malta since an Airbus A380 owned by Air France landed at MIA for scheduled maintenance to be carried out by Aviation Cosmetics. This news portal is reliably informed that the work will primarily consist of painting the entire aircraft.
The company is based at Safi Aviation Park just off the MIA perimeter and has landed several interesting jobs of late. However this is by far the largest contract it has won and is extremely prestigious when noting the fierce competition in this sector. The aircraft landed at around 1350 CET and proceeded straight to the Aviation Cosmetics Hangar at the park.
According to sources in the aviation industry, this is the second time that an Airbus A380 has landed in Malta. The first was an aircraft owned by Lufthansa that had landed to test safety services and to check viability of the MIA facilities.
